Bird watching is one of the main tourist attractions for Sou'Western Nova Scotia, as it is for Clark's Harbour and surrounding areas. There are many wonderful places to experience our wild birds, as well as some endangered species, like the piping plover. Some birds that can be seen are the Atlantic Brant, Piping Plover, Short-billed Dowichers, Semipalmated Sandpipers and Semipalmated Plovers. Every spring and summer our beaches are visited by about 20% of Nova Scotia's nesting Piping Plovers, so walk on the beach and enjoy these endangered species.
