Regular Session

Town Council

September 15, 2026

The Regular Session was called to order by Mayor Kenney at 7pm with Councillors Louann Link, Laurie Smith, Max Kenney and Irene Baker present.

ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA:

SASI Town Representative

APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA:

Being duly moved and seconded the agenda as well as the additions was approved as circulated.

Motion carried unanimously.

APPROVAL OF THE PREVIOUS MINUTES:

Being duly moved and seconded the minutes from the previous meeting was approved as circulated.

Motion carried unanimously.

APPOINTMENTS:

Belliveau Veinotte – Auditors

Jennifer Thamas of Belliveau Veinotte was present to present to Council the financials after completing the yearly audit. The Town had a surplus of one hundred, seventy eight thousand and three dollars ($178,003). This surplus is required to be transferred to reserve for future use.

Being duly moved and seconded, Council motioned to direct the Clerk to transfer the surplus into the Operating Reserve account.

MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES:

None

REPORTS:

Streets, Sewers and Unsightly Premises:

The Public Works Report was read and discussed. They are requesting coded locks for the buildings at the ballfield as keys are consistently getting misplaced and lost.

The School parking area on the side of the building floods after a heavy rainfall due to the stream/brook not properly flowing, because of built up grass roots. It is very difficult for Public Works personnel to get in there and clear it out due to lack of proper equipment. It was suggested that the Town hire a small excavator to get in there and properly clean it out.

Council agreed to this. The Clerk will instruct Public Works to proceed with action.

Recreation:

Nothing to report.

Building Inspector Report:

No report available.

Mayor/Councillors:

Mayor and Councillors shared their activities and meetings attended since the last regular meeting of Council.
